Launched in 2023 by experienced healthcare attorney Mary Richard, Healthcare Law Oklahoma (HLO) offers transactional and operations-related counsel tailored to Oklahoma and Texas healthcare providers.  The firm provides federal and state regulatory guidance and strategic advice partnering with providers of all types and their counsel across the U.S.

Working with a wide range of administrative agencies has been the hallmark of Ms. Richard’s practice including the Oklahoma State Department of Health, Oklahoma Healthcare Authority, Oklahoma Insurance Department and licensure boards, as well as the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and Office of Clinical Research (OCR). HLO provides services to physician, group practices and other types of healthcare providers whether beginning their practices, taking in new partners or employees, creating a new type of business line or retiring, buying or selling practices. She is experienced in negotiating settlements with regulators, advising institutions regarding expansion and development of service lines, managed care issues, acquisitions and affiliations, investment and operations within the contexts of Stark and Anti-Kickback laws and other regulatory restrictions.
